Michael E. Plummer & Associates - Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Process | Video Transcript

[GRAPHIC: What happens during the Chapter 7 bankruptcy process?]

MICHAEL E. PLUMMER: For an individual to file a Chapter 7, we set them an appointment, bring them in. We can pull their credit report if they'd like. We take all those debts that they have and we put together a petition and then we file it over the internet and we go to court in about four to six weeks. We set there with you at a table with a trustee who reviews the documents to make sure they're properly filed and that you've told the truth about what you own and what you owe. And then the debts are discharged.
